What is SKU?

SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit.

A SKU is your own internal code for a product variation, used to track inventory. Unlike a barcode, you create it yourself.

Example

HP-32-BLK for the 32 oz black water bottle.

Why it matters

Clear SKUs make inventory, reordering and reporting across channels much easier.
