What is Final value fee?

eBay’s final value fee is a percentage of the total amount the buyer pays — item, shipping and sales tax — charged when an item sells, plus a small per-order fee.

Example

At 13.6%, a $58 total (item + shipping) costs $7.89, plus a $0.40 per-order fee.

Why it matters

Because it includes shipping and tax, the effective fee on the item price is higher than the headline rate.
